about

2020 Holiday is a song about the frustrations of being isolated from everyone else. The song talks about fear of loneliness and boredom, along with the uncertainty of not knowing when things will return to normal. 2020 has been a year of many difficulties and challenges, so essentially the idea of catching a break came to mind. That’s what led to the title of the song.

The inspiration for writing the song came from longing to reunite with someone special. Although we may have talked every day, it just wasn’t the same as being together in person. Feeling that a lot of people were probably in the same situation, I think sharing the song can help smash our loneliness just a little bit.

lyrics

Lyrics:

I’m running low on patience in this trial of discipline
Emergency in my brain, everybody’s gonna dissipate
So I try to numb my misery but my girl don’t want to talk to me
Or maybe she’s sleeping away on a 2020 holiday

My safest haven
Is starting to feel like hell
But I hope that soon we’re both fine and doing well

I’m dressed to kill for the camera fiesta
We shoot to thrill smashing loneliness together
But every day that’s gone away is another day too many
3 months ago, as I watched her go,
I was missing her already

Deteriorating on the couch, the throbber goes round and round
And there’s not much here lately since fulfilling my fantasy

Break of the day
Is when we bid farewell
when will I wake to we’re all fine and doing well

I’m dressed to kill for the camera fiesta
We shoot to thrill smashing loneliness together
But every day that’s gone away is another day too many
3 months ago, as I watched her go,
I was missing her already

My safest haven
Is starting to feel like hell
But I hope that soon we’re both fine and doing well

I’m dressed to kill for the camera fiesta
We shoot to thrill smashing loneliness together
But every day that’s gone away is another day too many
3 months ago, as I watched her go,
I was missing her already

And every day that’s gone away is another day too many
3 months ago, as I watched her go,
I was missing her already
